so, it’s sunday. i have gotten a lot done (but i did forget non-dairy creamer at the grocer yesterday, so i’ll have to take care of that this morning) (i’ve gotten a few co-workers addicted to flavored creamer. so, i’m enabling), but i’ve done little that’s photo- or blog-worthy. laundry, knitting (not ready to be shown! super secret and all) bloglines continues to torment me. now, here’s something i don’t get. i’ve gotten seven emails about how bloglines says i haven’t updated, right? i went and had a look at my subscriber list. and – this is simultaneously embarassing and perplexing – i only have two subscribers. what about those other five emails? maybe they were gonna subscribe, then saw there was trouble afoot and just gave up. and yet… accoding to my hosting service, i have close to 300 readers.
meh. whatever, i’m glad you’re here. however you got here.
my stupid movie for satuday? cloverfield. okay, first? i really wanted to see persepolis. but i felt that it would require me to pay attention more, and i really just wanted to knit in the dark. so, we opted for cloverfield…
heh. the cafe i’m at is playing “brick house”. brilliant!
anyway.
so, it was a good movie, cloverfield. i’m not going to discuss or parse it. it’s a monster movie; what’s to discuss? i will say – if you need to understand everything happening onscreen, you won’t like it. we left the theater saying things like, “what do you think happened to lily? what about marlena?” and if you’re prone to motion sickness, you may not like it. much like the blair witch project, the camera is less than steady. and, from what i’ve read online, people don’t like it. really, now, what were you expecting? it’s not going to change your life. but i would wait until it’s at a second-run theater, where you can have beer and pizza along with your cheese, you know?
gratuitious and random photo:

this was last saturday, while running errands. that would be snow, of which there is none today.
