Agreed, absolutely.

However, the Superman-as-Jesus thing was there in the first (and best) movie, too. His father gave up his one and only son to save the world; his coming to Earth was signified by a “star” moving through the sky; death and ressurection. It’s all there. I don’t mind it, and I’m an agnostic!

dude, never, ever rely on the guy to double-check the hours of operation. to anything.

i’m glad you got to ride one roller coaster, though. had you known in advance that they were going to close down the rides, you could have spent that ride shouting heretical epithets at the top of your lungs, how rad would that have been?

Sorry Jesus ruined your Saturday. I had a similar thing (with less drama but a reasonable outcome) when I took children and spouse to what we THOUGHT was the movie ‘Bolt’ about a year ago.
Turns out, it was only Bolt for the matinee, the evening performance was a special rental for Christians to see some Jesus movie.
Hmmm…took us about 15 minutes to notice (duh…we thought they were trailers…) and then we went to the lobby to get our money back.
As I said, not as dramatic, but a good outcome.
And, as a bonus, a glimpse into Christianity….

oh my gods, yeah! i spent about six months shouting SUPERFUN!!! at people, because that’s what the host of this one japanese game show hollered between bouts of crazy.
